What is the Clooney Concert?
Imagine an elegant evening as you and your friends are nestled between Market & Third
Street in historic Maysville, Kentucky...

Dining on a gourmet dinner, with the stars gleaming...and then the venue transforms to
highlight a nationally known recording artist...

The Clooney Concert celebrates Rosemary Clooney's undying love for her hometown of
Maysville, Kentucky.  Rosemary always vowed to bring the glamour of Hollywood back to her
home, and for the 9th year, the community has continued her tradition of first class
entertainment in the historic Ohio River town.

In 1998, Rosemary Clooney and Jerry Lundergan, longtime Maysville, Kentucky friends;
finally brought their dreams of bringing first class entertainment and music back to the small
Kentucky town.

Rosemary had always vowed to come “home” and share her good fortune with the citizens of
the tiny Maysville community.  With assistance from hometown friend Jerry Lundergan, the
first annual Rosemary Clooney Music Festival took shape on the historic streets of downtown
Maysville.  With the stars shining from above, Rosemary helped bring awareness to the city
and state officials regarding the disrepair of the famed Russell Theater; where Rosemary’s
first movie; The Stars are Singing, premiered.

Guests dined right in the middle of Market and Third  Streets.  Patron’s marveled as butlered
meals were served on fine bone china and as uniformed waiters attended to every need.

The inaugural concert was such a success, that both Jerry and Rosy promised to return
during the Autumn of each year again to assist the Russell Theater Restoration Committee in
securing grants and funds to restore the landmark.

After Rosemary passed in 2002, the Maysville Community decided the show must always go
on!  The committee banded together and continues the magical evening!
